Amanda
We could not believe our eyes when we saw this little red mare. At the same auction, in the same pen where we found Ripley, stood an emaciated chestnut mare with almost matching markings. Waves of sadness and anger passed through us. Despite our decades of experience, we can’t help but continue to ask why...why would someone negligently starve a horse to almost near death and not do anything about it? Did her former owner ever miss a meal while she stood wasting away with absolutely nothing to nourish her dying body? It’s despicable and if they won’t do something about it we will. Fondly nicknamed, Lil’ Rip, Amanda is now safe and rest assured that she will never ever go hungry again.
