Elliott

Elliott is a 10 year old Clydesdale from NY. He has spent the last few years suffering from chronic, itchy, scabby legs that his former owners couldn’t get under control. This isn’t our first rodeo and we’ve seen plenty of similar conditions so we brought him to Maryland where he has already started treatment.

Elliott has chronic proliferative pastern dermatitis that requires very frequent, very thorough leg washes. In order to ensure the topicals are going directly on his infected skin, the first thing we had to do was shave away his beautiful feathers! In time, they’ll grow back and with successful treatment, the skin underneath will finally be healthy and far less itchy! Stay tuned for progress updates on handsome Elliot!
